Reading Urgent Care Centre

The Berkshire West Primary Care Alliance is currently running an interim service which commenced on 1st October 2024 and will run until the end of March 2027. This service is a collaboration between BWPCA and RBFT and is delivered at the Royal Berkshire Hospital out of Outpatients 1. Patients cannot self-refer into this service. The operating hours are 10:00 - 22:00 Monday - Sunday.

The service can see 100 patients per day, both paediatrics and adults, triaged from ED, booked by 111 or through their practices.

This services goal is to reduce pressures within general practice
