Women's Health Services
in Berkshire West

The NHS in Berkshire West piloted a "Women’s Health Hub."  The Hub brought together women’s health services across local GP practices and the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Women's Health Hubs have been set up across the country.  Information about the government's plans for Women's Health Hubs can be found here.  These hubs aim to improve access, experience and outcomes in women’s healthcare.

Women's Health Hub pilot

The pilot in Berkshire West rang from October 2024 to March 2025.  It provided two services: menopause and pessaries.   The pilot covered nine practices across West Berkshire, Reading and Wokingham:

  • Melrose

  • Longbarn Lane

  • South Reading and Shinfield

  • Russell Street

  • Boathouse

  • Chapel Row

  • Mortimer

  • Theale

  • Brookside
